Biography
I’d like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as the grade 5/6 teacher at the Medicine Hat Christian School. Before joining the staff here I was teaching abroad for the previous school year in London, England and Frankfurt, Germany. While overseas not only had I the opportunity to travel and learn more about this world God created, but I was also able to engage in unique teaching opportunities. These opportunities opened my eyes to different teaching styles and methods that could be collaborated with our teaching methodology in Canada. Yet, over and above any teaching philosophies and teaching methods, comes the essential foundation of a love of learning and a love for children. It is these two values that brought me to the Christian School.
I will have the pleasure of spending the next school year with your son or daughter! During the coming year, your child and I will be spending many hours in the classroom together. And I want you to know there is no place I would rather be, and no job I would rather have. I am looking forward to the opportunity to not only share the joy of learning with your son or daughter, but to also share the joy of worshipping God and serving Him together in our classroom, in our school, and in our community.
Together, as parents and teacher, we can truly provide a comfortable, stimulating, and challenging God-centered environment for your child. My promise to you is that I will consistently put the best interest of your child first, keep you informed about your child’s growth and classroom activities, and always welcome your input and support. As the year progresses, I also encourage you to contact me with any concerns, questions, or comments you might have. This may be done through your student’s agenda, telephone calls throughout the week, or scheduled conferences.
