I have been teaching at MHCS since 1991 primarily teaching junior high. Along with teaching junior high math , I also teach Gr. 9 Language Arts, Gr. 9 Bible, Gr. 9 Lifeskills and Gr. 4-9 Art. It is a real honor to be able to work with junior high students at the school and be a part of the process that God uses to mould these young adults into the people that He wants them to be. As a member of the team of staff members at MHCS, I realize that God uses all of us to facilitate the learning of the students at our school.

Homework is primarily given in Math when students are unable to complete the work in the time given. Students are also encouraged to take 10 minutes a night and review their notes from that day. Finally students should study regularly in preparation for the unit tests. We also explore how math and math concepts reveal the character of God with the understanding that God is the creator of math.

BIBLE 9
Topics covered in grade 9 Bible include:
1. The Big Picture in Color
2. World Religions
3. Apologetics
One of the great things about teaching at a Christian school is seing the progression of the Bible curriculm in tthe school. In Gr. 9 we strive to make sure that the students leave not only with a foundation in the Bible but also with the tools they will need to have in order to defend their faith. Students in grade 9 will aso plan and execute a service project either locally, nationally, or internationally. Last years students raised money and supplies for: World Vision, Women's Shelter, The Mustard Seed, Pregancy Support Services, Food Bank, and many other organizations. Our goal is to get students to look beyong themselves and realize that they can help better our world.
