FINANCE

Medicine Hat Christian School has five sources of income:

1. Donations
MHCS receives donations from area churches, individuals, and businesses.

2. Fund Raising
Special fund raising projects are conducted by the MHCS Fund Raising Council and by the school.

3. Grants
MHCS receives grants from the Department of Education

4. Tuition
MHCS charges tuition to cover fees. 2007-2008Fee Schedule:

Families with:

    • 1 child in Grade 1-9 - $4200.00/school year
    • 2 children in Grade 1-9 - $5400.00/school year
    • 3 or more children in Gr. 1-9 - $6100.00/school year
    • Junior High Extra Fee per child - $ 150.00/school year
    • Elementary Extra Fee per child - $ 75.00/school year

E.C.S. extras such as nutrition, field trips, etc.
E.C.S. (2 + day/week program) $ 800.00/school year
E.C.S. families with other students in school:$ 250.00/school year

Tuition/transportation payments begin September 1 of the current year. Ten post-dated cheques are required and may be dated any day of the month convenient for you.

Registration Fee

A non-refundable fee of $40.00 per family will be required upon registration. This fee will be applied to the first month’s tuition payment.

MHCS Society Membership Fee

An annual society membership fee of $50.00 per family per school year is required upon registration.

Transportation Fee

MHCS operates its own transportation system. Fees per family (grade 1-9), $1150.00 per annum.
